AudioCutter.me ("we", "our", or "us"), operated at audiocutter.me, is committed to safeguarding your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains our practices regarding the collection, use, processing, and protection of your personal information across our web applications and services.

1. Information We Collect

• Client-Side Local Editing (Zero Server Upload): When using our 19 standard browser tools (cutting, trimming, merging, pitch/speed adjustment, etc.), audio files are processed entirely in your web browser via Web Audio and WebAssembly. No audio bytes or file contents are transmitted to or stored on our servers.
• Account Information: If you choose to sign in (via Google OAuth), we receive your verified email address, full name, Google unique account identifier, and profile avatar URL to establish and maintain your authenticated session.
• Payment & Billing Data: Payments are processed directly by our Merchant of Record, Paddle.com. We do not store, process, or have access to your full credit card numbers or sensitive financial instruments. We receive only transaction identifiers, subscription status, and billing cycle metadata required to credit your account wallet.
• Cloud AI Audio Submissions: When you use AI features (Speech Transcription, Vocal Remover, Stem Splitter), the uploaded audio is temporarily received by our AI Gateway to perform the inference.
• Technical & Log Data: We log basic request metadata (IP address, browser user-agent, timestamps) strictly for security, rate-limiting, and fraud prevention.

2. Third-Party AI Processors & Data Handling

To deliver high-performance AI audio capabilities, we partner with specialized infrastructure and AI providers:

• Cloudflare Workers AI: Runs speech recognition models within Cloudflare's secure serverless network.
• Deepgram: Speech-to-text engine used for extended audio transcriptions and speaker diarization.
• StemConsole: High-fidelity neural stem separation engine for multi-track audio splitting.

Data Protection Commitments: Audio files sent to AI processing pipelines are processed ephemerally solely to fulfill your specific transformation request. We do not use your personal audio files to train our own public foundation models, and we require our processing partners to handle API audio requests in accordance with commercial developer terms.

3. Data Retention & Automatic Purging

• AI Audio Files: Any transient audio buffers and generated stem tracks are scheduled for automatic purge from server caches within 24 hours under a standard 86,400-second TTL.
• Account Data: Account profiles and billing ledgers are maintained while your account is active. You can permanently delete your entire account, session tokens, and preferences at any time using the self-service "Delete Account" button in your Account Settings (which triggers an immediate DELETE /api/me database purge).

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We employ minimal, essential browser storage mechanisms:

• Session Cookie (audiocut.session_token): An HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax cookie required to maintain your authenticated login state.
• Local Preferences: Client-side localStorage is used to remember your preferred language, audio zoom levels, and volume controls. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or cross-site advertising trackers.

5. Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA & International)

Depending on your jurisdiction (including the European Economic Area, UK, and California), you have the right to:

• Access and obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Request the correction of inaccurate personal data.
• Request the complete erasure of your account and personal data.
• Withdraw consent or object to processing where applicable.
