Terms of Service

Last Updated: October 27, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of AudioCutter.me ("we", "our", or "us"), available at audiocutter.me. By accessing our website, creating an account, or using our audio editing and AI services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

AudioCutter.me offers two distinct categories of audio processing capabilities:

  • Client-Side Local Audio Tools: 19 browser-based audio editing tools (such as audio cutter, trimmer, merge, pitch/speed changer, reverser, and format converter) that operate entirely within your browser using Web Audio and WebAssembly. No audio data from local tools is uploaded to our servers.
  • Cloud AI Audio Features: Advanced computational features (such as AI Speech Transcription, Vocal Remover, and AI Stem Splitter) that require transient server-side and model execution.

2. User Accounts & Security

You may use our basic browser tools without registration. To access cloud AI features, manage AI Credits, or subscribe to paid plans, you must sign in using a verified third-party account (such as Google OAuth). You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your session and all activities under your account. You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time via your Account Settings.

3. Subscriptions, Billing & Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller and Merchant of Record, Paddle.com (Paddle Payments Ltd / Paddle.com Market Ltd). Paddle provides customer service inquiries and handles all payment processing, tax collection, and billing compliance.

  • Paid Plans: We offer Basic, Pro, and Premium subscription plans with monthly or annual billing cycles. Each plan provides a defined monthly allocation of AI Credits.
  • Credit Grants: Monthly plans receive credits at the start of each billing month. Annual plans receive credits distributed in 12 monthly tranches at each natural month boundary.
  • Subscription Auto-Renewal: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) at the then-current price, charged to the payment method on file with Paddle, unless cancelled before the renewal date.

4. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Our refund and cancellation policies align with Paddle's Merchant of Record terms and applicable consumer protection laws:

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription auto-renewal at any time through your Account Settings or the Paddle Customer Portal. Upon cancellation, your subscription remains active with full access to your plan until the end of the current paid billing period, with no subsequent renewals charged.
  • Statutory Cooling-Off Rights: If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have the statutory right to cancel your purchase within 14 calendar days without giving any reason. However, in accordance with applicable consumer law, this right of withdrawal ceases once digital content performance or AI computation has commenced with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that you lose your right of withdrawal upon start of service delivery.
  • AI Credits Consumption: AI Credits are consumable digital computational units. Once an AI task (such as audio transcription or stem separation) has completed processing and credits have been settled, those credits are non-refundable.
  • Discretionary & Defect Refunds: If you experience persistent technical defects or service unavailability caused by AudioCutter.me that prevent you from using your plan, you may contact our support team within 14 days of the incident for investigation and potential prorated refund or credit replacement.

5. AI Processing, File Uploads & Technical Boundaries

When using Cloud AI features:

  • File Limits: Audio files submitted for cloud AI processing are strictly capped at 50 MB per file and a maximum duration of 60 minutes (transcription) or 15 minutes (stem separation). Files exceeding these parameters are rejected.
  • Transient Processing: Uploaded audio files are buffered temporarily solely to execute the requested transformation and are scheduled for automatic purge under an 86,400-second (24-hour) TTL.
  • User Ownership & Warranties: You affirm that you hold all necessary intellectual property rights, licenses, or permissions to upload, process, and extract audio from the files you submit. You agree not to upload any defamatory, infringing, abusive, or unlawful material.

6. Intellectual Property & Output Ownership

AudioCutter.me claims no ownership over your original audio files or the generated outputs (such as edited MP3/WAV files, transcriptions, subtitles, or separated vocal/instrumental tracks). You retain full rights and title to your content and results, subject to your compliance with these Terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AudioCutter.me and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, audio corruption, or business interruption.
